Recently,888slot China has been promoting special campaigns against fentanyl and its precursors, cracking down on illegal activities such as smuggling, production, trafficking, and abuse of fentanyl and its precursors. And the drug control departments of China and the US are gradually resuming regular communication, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said on Friday.
During the top leaders’ meeting in San Francisco, China and the US announced the establishment of a drug control cooperation working group to carry out drug control cooperation, Wang said, noting that to implement this important consensus, the US lifted sanctions on relevant Chinese law enforcement agencies.
China has also started a comprehensive investigation of key enterprises, personnel, and equipment, and it’s also continuously cleaning up and rectifying online sales information related to fentanyl, and closely guarding against the smuggling of related chemicals abroad to effectively protect the physical and mental health of the people, Wang said.
China has informed the US of the progress of drug control law enforcement actions involving the US and provided feedback and taken action on the investigation requests for case clues raised by it. The two sides are maintaining close communication on the establishment of the drug control cooperation working group, said Wang.
Wang said the progress in restoring China-US drug control cooperation has not come easily, and both sides should cherish it.
“We hope that the US will show sincerity and work together with China to continue practical drug control cooperation on the basis of mutual respect and mutual benefit,” said Wang.
